Calculation Power Formula for Heating Tube

1. The design calculation of heating tube generally follows the following three steps:

1. Calculate the power required to heat from the initial temperature to the set temperature within a specified time.

2. Calculate the actual power required to maintain the temperature under the premise of keeping the medium temperature constant.

3. Based on the above two calculation results, select the model and quantity of the heater. The total power takes the maximum of the two powers and considers a coefficient of 1.2.

Formula:

1. Power required for initial heating

KW = ( C1M1△T + C2M2△T )÷ 864/P + P/2

Where: C1C2 are the specific heat of the container and medium respectively (Kcal/Kg℃)

M1M2 are the mass of the container and medium respectively (Kg)

△T is the difference between the required temperature and the initial temperature (℃)

H is the time required to heat from the initial temperature to the set temperature (h)

P is the heat dissipation of the container at the final temperature (Kw)

2. Power required to maintain the medium temperature

KW=C2M3△T/864+P

Where: M3 is the medium added per hour kg/h
