Installation, Use and Troubleshooting of Reactor Heater


Common Fault Phenomena and Causes of Reactor Heater:



I. Maintenance and Safety

1. Strictly operate according to the working pressure and working temperature specified on the product nameplate to avoid danger.

2. Strictly follow the regulations on cooling, oil injection, etc. in the product instruction manual, and perform equipment maintenance and care.

3. When using all valves, slowly rotate the valve stem (needle) to press the sealing surface tightly to achieve a sealing effect. Do not use excessive force when closing to avoid damaging the sealing surface. 

4. Electrical control instruments should be operated by designated personnel, and overload protection devices should be installed as specified.



II. Common Fault Phenomena and Causes of Reactor Heater



1. Fault phenomenon: Leakage at the sealing surface. Cause: Loose screw threads; damaged sealing surface. Troubleshooting: Retighten the screws; re-grind and polish the sealing surface.

2. Fault phenomenon: Leakage at the valve. Cause: Damaged sealing surface of valve stem (needle) or valve port. Troubleshooting: Repair or replace the valve stem (needle) and valve port.

3. Fault phenomenon: Outer magnet rotates, inner magnet does not rotate, motor current decreases. Cause: Excessive temperature rise in the reactor, poor cooling circulation, inner magnet demagnetized due to high temperature. Hydrogenation reaction, cracks in the inner magnet sleeve, expansion of the inner magnet. Troubleshooting: Contact the supplier to replace the inner magnet. 

4. Fault phenomenon: Friction noise inside the magnetic coupling drive. Cause: Worn shaft sleeve and bearing, excessive clearance, inner magnet wobbles during rotation. Troubleshooting: Contact the supplier to replace the bearing and shaft sleeve.



III. Installation and Use of Reactor Heater:



1. The reactor heater should be installed on a sturdy and level workbench. The height of the workbench is determined by the usage conditions. Leave a certain space around the equipment and the workbench (≥360cm) for installation and later maintenance.



2. During installation, the drive shaft must be perpendicular to the ground level. The non-perpendicularity (inclination) shall not exceed 1/1000 of the total height of the equipment.



3. The self-provided parts on the process connections of the equipment, such as safety valves, must be equipped according to the requirements of the reactor.



4. After installation, check whether all connecting parts and transmission parts are firm and reliable. Perform an air tightness test on all connecting pipes, pipe openings, seals, and the entire machine. There should be no bubbling, leaking, dripping, or seeping.



5. Before starting, inject 46# mechanical oil into the reducer. Remove the motor protective cover and manually turn the fan blade to check for any jamming. Check if the stirring paddle scrapes the wall. Clean any debris inside the reactor heater before starting. Run the machine empty for 30 minutes. If there is no abnormal noise or vibration, formal production can begin. Replace the reducer oil periodically according to production conditions.
