Far Infrared Electric Heating Plate



Silicon carbide far infrared electric heater is a radiant heater. After being powered on, it can form a strong broad-spectrum directional radiation in the vertical space. It effectively converts point energy into far infrared radiation energy, directly transfers it to the object to be dried, quickly transforms it into molecular thermal motion, dries from the inside out, achieves the purpose of rapid drying and shaping, and achieves significant energy-saving effects.



Far Infrared Electric Heating Plate uses a silicon carbide plate coated with metal oxide, i.e., far infrared coating, as the radiation element. Heating wires are installed in the holes (or grooves) of the element, and a thick layer of insulating, refractory, and heat-insulating material is placed at the bottom of the element. Then a metal shell is installed, and terminals are connected for power-on use. Silicon carbide has a room temperature flexural strength of 45Mpa, a high-temperature flexural strength at 1000°C of 50Mpa, a bulk density of 2.7-2.75g/cm3, a thermal expansion rate at 900°C of 0.42-0.48%, and a thermal conductivity (at 350°C) of 10.3-16.7w/m.k.



When far infrared radiation radiates onto an object, absorption, reflection, and transmission can occur. The heated and dried material absorbs far infrared radiation energy at a certain depth inside and on the surface molecules simultaneously, generating a self-heating effect, causing the solvent or water molecules to evaporate, with uniform heating, thus avoiding deformation and quality change due to different degrees of thermal expansion, keeping the appearance, physical mechanical properties, fastness, and color of the material intact.



Widely used in industries such as automotive, textile, printing and dyeing, dye, papermaking, bicycle, refrigerator, washing machine, chemical fiber, ceramics, electrostatic spraying, grain, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, tobacco, etc., to achieve ultra-fast drying. Especially suitable for large drying rooms, ovens, and conveyor drying tunnels.





Due to the advantages of good radiation effect, significant power saving, and convenient use and maintenance, silicon carbide far infrared electric heating plates occupy a considerable proportion in drying and heating methods. Usage and Precautions:



1. Clean the surface dust before installation (but do not damage the coating).

2. Installation must be secure, but not too tight to prevent breakage.

3. For safety, the shell must be grounded.

4. Configure appropriate reflection devices according to the shape of the heated object to fully utilize thermal energy.

5. When using with power, gradually heat at a low temperature of 50°C-100°C (can be used in series first to prevent thermal shock cracking).

6. Silicon carbide elements with general breakage or small missing corners can still be used, but care must be taken during disassembly and repair to avoid damaging the element.

7. The surface coating can be reapplied after aging.
