Calculation of Resistance for Ultra-Fine Single-Head Right-Angle Electric Heating Tube

Origin of Ultra-Fine Single-Head Right-Angle Electric Heating Tube:

Ultra-fine single-head right-angle electric heating tube, also known as single-end electric heating tube or cartridge heater, is a type of electric heating tube (tubular heating element). In China's electric heating industry, there is a long-standing model designation: M3. In the late 1990s, due to the widespread application of electric heating tubes in China, many shapes of electric heating tubes emerged. In southern China, this type of electric heating tube with one lead wire used in molds was called single-head electric heating tube or single-end electric heating tube, which is quite descriptive.

Abroad, it is called a cartridge heater, also a descriptive name because the cartridge shell is cylindrical with one end sealed, which is similar to the Chinese term single-head electric heating tube, both achieving the same effect through different methods.

 Detailed Product Introduction of Ultra-Fine Single-Head Right-Angle Electric Heating Tube:

The ultra-fine single-head right-angle stainless steel electric heating tube uses domestic thick-walled seamless stainless steel tubes, imported high-temperature magnesium oxide powder from the United States, and sealing materials, allowing the heating tube to withstand temperatures up to 900°C. The heating tube will not be damaged when dry-burned under temporary dehydration conditions. It also adopts an atmosphere-protected blackening mesh belt furnace with a 1060°C high-temperature nitriding treatment process, improving the high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance of the heating tube, ensuring its service life.

Calculation of Resistance for Ultra-Fine Single-Head Right-Angle Electric Heating Tube:

  Example: 220V 1500W electric heating tube

  P=1500 watts (power) U=220 volts (voltage) Find: I (current)

  I=P/U=1500/220≈6.82 A

  Ohm's Law Find: R (resistance)

  R=U/I=220/6.82≈32.27 ohms

Precautions for Using Ultra-Fine Single-Head Right-Angle Electric Heating Tube:

1. The component should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1 megohm due to long-term storage, it can be dried in an oven at about 200°C for several hours (or by applying low voltage to the component for several hours) to restore the insulation resistance.

2. If carbon deposits are found on the tube surface, they must be completely removed before reuse to avoid reducing efficiency or even burning out the component.

3. When melting solid oils such as asphalt and paraffin, reduce the voltage during melting, and then increase to the rated voltage after melting to prevent concentration of electric power and reduce the service life of the component.
