Timely detection of flange electric heater faults and timely resolution
Flange electric heater usage precautions:
Components should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1 megohm due to prolonged storage, dry them in an oven at around 200°C for several hours (or apply low voltage for several hours) to restore insulation resistance.
If carbon deposits are found on the tube surface, remove them completely before reuse to avoid reduced efficiency or even burning out the element.
When melting solid oils such as asphalt or paraffin, use reduced voltage until melted, then increase to rated voltage to prevent concentrated power from reducing the element's service life.
1. Flange electric heater fault phenomenon: Fuse blown
Causes: 1. Fuse diameter too small, insufficient capacity;
2. Short circuit between power plug and electric heating socket;
3. Loose or detached leads or tabs of the heating tube causing short circuit;
4. Heating tube (core) burned out causing short circuit;
5. Dirt or carbonization buildup in the heating socket causing short circuit.
Solutions: 1. Replace with a suitable fuse;
2. Repair or replace the power plug or heating socket;
3. Reconnect securely;
4. Repair or replace;
5. Clean dirt, repair or replace parts.
2. Flange electric heater fault phenomenon: For temperature-controlled flange electric heaters, the thermostat malfunctions
Causes: 1. The ceramic contact rod of the thermostat is stuck by foreign objects;
2. Deformation of the bimetallic strip;
3. Fatigue of moving and fixed contacts, loss of elasticity, poor contact;
4. Moving and fixed contacts stuck together, unable to open or close;
5. Loose fastening screws on the moving and fixed contact plates.
Solutions: 1. Remove foreign objects, ensure it moves up and down flexibly by hand;
2. Adjust the deformation to restore original shape and elasticity;
3. Adjust the contact angle to restore elasticity;
4. Polish the contacts; replace if ineffective;
5. Retighten the screws.
3. Flange electric heater fault phenomenon: Heater does not heat
Causes: 1. Abnormal power supply or power outage;
2. Fuse blown;
3. Poor contact between power plug and heating socket, or open circuit in power cord;
4. Loose or detached leads or tabs of the heating tube (core);
5. Heating tube (core) burned out;
6. Poor contact or melted/disconnected thermostat contacts.
