Cast Copper Heating Plate Main Applications
It is an electric heater that uses tubular heating elements as the heating body and cast copper material as the shell, formed by die-casting. Its operating temperature is generally between 150 and 600 degrees Celsius, and it can be widely used in plastic machinery, die heads, cable machinery, chemical, rubber, petroleum and other equipment. The cast copper heating plate has the advantages of long life, good thermal insulation, strong mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and magnetic resistance. The explosion-proof sign of the explosion-proof heater is ExdⅡBT4, ExDⅡBT6, ExdeⅡCT6, etc. It is widely used in plastic machinery, molds, cable machinery, alloy die-casting machines, pipelines, chemical, rubber, petroleum and other equipment.
Cast Copper Heating Plate Technical Characteristics
It uses tubular heating elements as the heating body, which are bent into shape and then placed into a mold. Using metal alloy material as the shell, it is centrifugally cast into various shapes, including round, flat, right-angle, air-cooled, water-cooled, and other special shapes. After precision machining, it can closely fit the object to be heated.
The surface load of the cast aluminum heater can reach 2.5-4.5 W/cm², with a maximum operating temperature between 300-450°C;
The surface load of the cast copper heating plate can reach 3.5-5.0 W/cm², with a maximum operating temperature between 500-600°C;
The surface load of the cast iron heater can reach 4.5-6.0 W/cm², with a maximum operating temperature between 550-700°C.
The cast copper heating plate is a heater with uniform heat distribution. The thermally conductive metal alloy ensures uniform surface temperature, eliminating hot and cold spots on the equipment. It has the advantages of long life, good thermal insulation, strong mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and magnetic resistance. Adding insulation devices to the outer heat dissipation surface and sintering infrared rays on the inner heat dissipation surface can save 35% of electricity.
Cast Copper Heating Plate Usage Precautions
1. The working voltage must not exceed 10% of the rated value; the relative humidity of the air should not be greater than 95%, and there should be no explosive or corrosive gases.
2. The wiring part should be placed outside the heating layer and insulation layer, and the shell should be effectively grounded; avoid contact with corrosive, explosive media, and moisture; the lead wires should be able to withstand the temperature of the wiring part and the heating load for a long time, and avoid excessive force when tightening the wiring screws.
3. The cast copper heating plate should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance is lower than 1MΩ due to long-term storage, it can be baked in an oven at about 200°C for 5-6 hours to restore normal. Alternatively, reduce the voltage and energize to heat until the insulation resistance is restored.
4. The cast copper heating plate should be properly positioned and fixed. The effective heating area must be in close contact with the heated object, and dry burning is strictly prohibited. If dust or contaminants are found on the surface, they should be cleaned promptly before reuse to avoid affecting heat dissipation and shortening service life.
5. The magnesium oxide powder at the outlet end of the electric heating tube should be protected from contaminants and moisture infiltration at the use site to prevent leakage accidents.
