The main electric heating thermal oil furnace is used for direct contact heating of fluids, featuring fast heat exchange and high thermal efficiency. It is divided into water heaters, oil heaters, and gas heaters. The power density of the heating element, i.e., the power per unit heating area of the electric heating element, is a very important parameter that directly affects the performance and service life of the heater. Its value is a very professional issue, influenced by many factors (such as the flow rate, temperature, physical and chemical properties of the medium, and the direction of the medium flowing through the heating element, etc.).

    If the value is too high, it can cause overheating, coking, and in severe cases, quickly lead to damage of the heating element. If the value is too low, it will cause an increase in volume and a sharp rise in cost. For different types of electric heaters, different power densities are adopted. A common structural feature is that a number of electric heating tubes are bundled on a tube sheet, and the ends are supported by a support plate or support tube to form a whole, reducing vibration of individual heating tubes when the medium flows. Over-temperature control devices are installed in the heater as protection for the heating elements.
