Calculation of heating value  

A voltage regulator can be used to change the heating value by varying the input voltage and current.  

The heating value is proportional to the square of the voltage and the square of the current.  

When the voltage is halved, the heating value becomes 1/4.  

When the current is halved, the heating value also becomes 1/4.  

How to verify the electric heating tube  

The most intuitive way to verify the quality of an electric heating tube is: first wipe the surface of the tube clean, then connect it to an AC 220V power supply and dry burn it in the air. After the surface turns red, cut off the power. When the tube is completely cooled, wipe it with a napkin. There should be no black oxide powder (no reaction with oxygen in the air) on the white paper, indicating it is a good electric heating tube.
