Design and customization of W-type finned heating tubes: Prerequisites for design and customization: W-type finned heating tubes are generally used in air dry-burning working environments. Before customization, customers need to inform the specific working environment size, whether there is a temperature control device, and if so, what is the controlled temperature? At the same time, they need to inform whether there is a fan circulation device, as well as the installation space size!



 



1. Voltage, power



2. Tube diameter, usually: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm



3. Fin type selection: Square fins (25*50mm or 40*80mm) or Wrapped fins (usually using 6mm, 10mm steel strip winding)



4. Whether both ends have fasteners, if so, what size?



5. Appearance material selection: Main materials include 10# carbon steel, SUS304, SUS321, SUS316L, SUS310S (commonly known as 2520), titanium tubes, etc.



6. Fin material: 10# carbon steel, SUS3201, SUS304, SUS321, SUS316L



7. Heating wire material selection: Usually iron-chromium-aluminum wire (Beijing Shougang) or nickel-chromium wire (generally H140, 2080 resistance wire, etc.). The choice between these two depends on the customer's working environment (temperature and vibration).



 





 



[Difference between finned heating tubes and non-finned heating tubes]



1. The heat dissipation area of finned heating tubes is increased by 2.5 to 4 times, and the surface load of the tube is increased by 1.5 times. It has the advantages of fast heating, high thermal efficiency, and long service life.



2. In limited heating devices, the power can reach 1.5 to 2 times that of bare tubes, greatly reducing the volume of the heating device and saving user costs. Finned heating tubes are widely used in heating places with static or flowing air. They are used in machinery manufacturing, automotive, textile, food, spraying, air conditioning and other industries for hot air, ventilation, drying rooms, heating, etc.



 



[Precautions for using finned heating tubes]



 



1. Thermal insulation: Finned heating tubes are often used in hot air circulation and thermal insulation systems. There should be insulation and heat insulation layers around to reduce heat loss.



2. Wind speed: The general wind speed for finned electric heating tubes is 8-12 m/s. Too high wind speed will increase pressure loss, and too low will reduce heat dissipation efficiency.



3. Installation: Staggered arrangement is generally used to make the flowing air contact a larger surface, fully heat, and take away heat.



4. Wiring part protection: The wiring part of the finned heating tube should be placed outside the insulation layer, on the one hand for easy future replacement, and on the other hand to prevent the wiring part from being damaged due to excessive temperature.



5. Daily maintenance during intermittent use: When idle for a long time, if the insulation resistance is lower than 1 megohm, it can be dried in an oven at about 200°C, or directly heated by reducing voltage until the insulation resistance returns to normal.



6. Others:



The relative humidity of the working environment air should not exceed 95%.



The working voltage should not exceed 1.1 times the rated value, and the shell should be effectively grounded.



Storage: Should be stored in a well-ventilated room with relative humidity not exceeding 85% and no corrosive gases.
