The resistance wire of an electric heater is made of nickel-chromium alloy, with temperatures reaching over 800°C. Due to the high power of electric heaters, if users neglect safety, a fire can occur at any time.
Therefore, during use, flammable and explosive items must not be placed near the electric heater, and a certain safety distance must be maintained. The electric heater must be placed on a non-conductive, non-combustible material base; the safe current-carrying capacity of the electric heater's wire must meet the heater's capacity requirements. Industrial electric heaters must be equipped with a separate circuit under any circumstances. The wire must be fitted with a plug, and the heater wire end must not be directly inserted into the socket; the wire of the electric heater should be replaced promptly if it is aged or damaged. Electric heaters without a fuse in the circuit must not be used; the electric heater must be attended during use, and the plug should be removed when leaving. In case of a power outage during use, the heater plug should be promptly removed to avoid forgetting. For resistance wires that have been repaired multiple times, it is best not to use them again and replace them with new ones. Flammable and explosive items are strictly prohibited from being dried with electric heaters; the electric oven should have a temperature control device to prevent both excessive temperature and prolonged heating time.
